Zechariah's Benedictus (Luke 1:67-80)
Zechariah's Benedictus teaches us 3 practical points of application
#1 Saving (v67-73) ~ God saved Israel from their enemies ~ God has saved us from the dominion of sin
#2 Serving (v74,75) ~ God saved Israel so they could serve Him ~ God saved us to serve Him ~ God didn't save us and then put us in a bubble, but He has gifted us to serve Him and the body of Christ
#3 Soul Winning (v76-80) ~ John the Baptist was to be the forerunner of the Messiah and prepare the way for the Messiah ~ John would give the knowledge of salvation to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death
* We've been saved to serve and soul win
