John the Baptist as Preacher

John the Baptist as preacher (Matthew 3:1-12)

1 John the Baptist came preaching (v1). ~ Regardless of whether we're a preacher who teaches and preaches all God's children are called to be preachers of the gospel. ~ Romans 10:9-15 speaks about a preacher that has gospel feet.

2 John came preaching repentance (v2-6). ~ John preached that Israel needed to change their minds about the Lord. ~ The bible is a message about Chris and that message of Christ should change people's minds.

3 John the Baptist's message called for a change (v7-12). ~ He asked the people to make a decision. ~ A gospel presentation should ask questions and ask people to make a decision about Christ.
