The Wise Men

In Matthew 2:1-12 we read about the wise men. These men are called magi or wise men. They truly were wise men. There's a number of considerations that make the wise.

1 Their awareness of scriptures made them wise. They would've been aware of Balaam's prophecy in Numbers 24:17 which says, "a star shall come out of Jacob."

2 Their looking for Christ made them wise (v1).

3 Their willingness to endure a long and hard journey made them wise (v2-8)

4 Their desire to worship Christ was wise (v9-11).

5 Their obedience to listen to God made them wise (v 12).
